Skylands Songwriters Guild Dedicated to nurturing community of Singer/Songwriters of Northwest New Jersey and the surrounding region - those who create and those who appreciate!

Dedicated to nurturing community of Singer/Songwriters of Northwest New Jersey and the surrounding region. We seek to provide an open and supportive atmosphere for aspiring amateurs through accomplished professionals. The Guild will host learning and sharing events such as Open Mics, coffeehouses, songcraft workshops and seminars, as well as showcases and festivals for performances. We will provi

de an online opportunity for artists to list their performances and seek out others for collaboration. The Principals of the SSG are well established in the local independent artist community, hosting many of the events mentioned above. SSG a non-profit entity unto itself for the sole purpose of building community among those who create and those who appreciate! We hope to educate the public regarding fine, but as yet largely undiscovered talent and facilitate the careers of the artists. Those principals are:

Skylandians!

Just a reminder that the next SSG Songwriters Open Mic at Enzo’s in Budd Lake on March 19th is our annual CYF (Cover Your Friends). The purpose is to recognize friends whose songs we love so much we want to play them ourselves.
Open mic format - 2 songs in 10 minutes - however at least one song has to be a cover of a friend’s song.
There are still 10 days so that’s plenty of time to reach out for the lead sheets.

Come on out and join us in sharing the work of other songwriters!

Tina Ross combines her soaring, intimate voice & guitar playing with songs that are like a timeless painting. Kevin DeFeo is a NWNJ based singer/songwriter in the Country/Americana/Honk Tonk genre.
