🌞 Summer Swag Giveaway: Giving Back to Our Community

Our Summer Swag Giveaway winner, Heather Haendiges, had the opportunity to choose where a $500 donation from KTLG would make an impactand she chose the Citrus County Foster Parents Association .

Earlier this week, members of the Association, along with Heather, stopped by to meet with Keith Taylor and receive the donation. More importantly, Heather’s choice gave us the opportunity to learn more about an organization doing meaningful work for children and families right here in Citrus County.

Founded locally in 1981, the Citrus County Foster Parent Association supports foster, adoptive, kinship, and other families caring for children. Their work includes providing school supplies, holiday gifts, family bonding experiences, and special outings that help children feel supported, included, and loved.

We’re grateful to Heather for participating in our giveaway and for choosing an organization that is making a difference in the lives of local children and families. We’re honored that our Summer Swag Giveaway could help shine a little light on the important work they’re doing in our community. 💙

🚨 Urgent Need for Foster Parents 🚨

Right now, children in our community need safe, loving homes. If you've ever felt a tug on your heart to make a difference, fostering may be the opportunity you've been looking for.

You don't have to be perfect to become a foster parent, you simply need a willingness to open your heart and home to a child who needs care, stability, and support.

Kids are loud. Kids are messy. They can be exhausting and DIFFICULT!
But over everything, they are a gift from God, meant to be celebrated, loved and protected. As Foster parents we have the critical role of providing stability in their life where there is none. We not only open our homes but our hearts. 💛
