Volunteers needed Saturday, June 27th from 10 am - 2 pm.
-3 to 4 to stay with WCAC adoptable dogs
-2 to 3 to stay with the Friends of WCAC table
Barbara Peets has made a lot of dog beds. We will display for donations. In addition, we have new dog toys for donations.
We have a dog tag machine (courtesy of WCAC). We will be making dog tags for donations.
We hope to have the adoption dog board ready. Still looking for an easel.

Please respond if you are able to volunteer.

This should be lots of fun!!

Help Needed: Create an Adoptable Dog Picture Board

Looking for a volunteer that will help create a picture board for all our events. WCAC brings a binder with all adoptable dogs, but the board would show color photos of the dogs as well.

Volunteer would need to:
Help secure an easel, lettering for heading, paw stenciling (perhaps) and sticky back Velcro. This is suggestion.

Annie is so cute and cuddly! Please don't let her grow up in the shelter. She is a 6-month-old, 30-lb bundle of pure joy! Please share with everyone you know!

Thanks, Claudia Richardson, Pamela Gliozzi, and Kinsey-Rose Frazier, for helping with photos on Saturday! Unfortunately, it was hard to get the dogs to cooperate because many of them were so scared. These photos are some of the good ones we took; please share them in posts to help get them adopted! There are more photos and info about the dogs on Petfinder.

We could use more volunteers to help socialize these dogs. They are all very sweet and timid; they need to get used to humans and walking on a leash. Please call WCAC and sign up to be a volunteer! 615-444-9775. It is very rewarding to watch the pups blossom!

Beautiful dog!

Sometimes the hardest dogs to post about are the ones that have been waiting the longest 💔🐾

Marlo is still here.

Still watching people walk by her kennel.
Still hoping every new face might finally be HER person.
Still waiting for someone to see past the shelter walls and realize just how special she really is.

And honestly… we don’t understand it either.

Marlo is beautiful, goofy, full of life, loves the water, and has so much love to give. She deserves adventures, couch naps, snacks, sunshine, and someone who thinks she hung the moon 🌙💖

She does need to be the only pet in the home because she wants all the love and attention for herself — and truthfully, she deserves that kind of love too.

It’s heartbreaking watching such an amazing dog continue to be overlooked while she waits for her happy ending.
