Day 2 of the PA Special Olympics Softball Championships on Saturday was another good one at In The Net, as the weather held off and made for another day of competition and sportsmanship. Lodge No. 42 members helped with scoring, serving lunch, and other miscellaneous duties. We also had a stand with some extra giveaways for the athletes. Special thanks to Ryan at the Philly Pretzel Factory in Lebanon, who donated 100 pretzels for the event. They were a big hit! SLTPD was assisted by the Western Lebanon County Regional EMA as they monitored the weather and events, including traffic, from the Lebanon County DES Command Unit. Today (Sunday) is the final day for events, with awards starting around noon. The gold medal round of awards is set for 3pm. Looking forward to another big day! Members of FOP Lodge No. 42 had a good time today with the athletes, coaches, and support staff of the PA Special Olympics Softball Championships at In the Net in Palmyra. Multiple members helped out today in various capacities – everything from volunteering to run skills events, score keeping, and even the honor of helping to light the “Flame of Hope” for the opening ceremonies. Our members demonstrated the working partnership we have with the PA Special Olympics. Special thanks to Brad Frye and the staff at In The Net who are top notch making things run smoothly. There are still two more days of events! Stop by to watch or you can volunteer at portals.specialolympics.org, or email questions to [email protected].

🚔🏈 THE THIN BLUE LINE FOOTBALL GAME IS BACK! 🏈🚔
Sheriff Nick Chimienti Jr. is proud to announce the return of the "Thin Blue Line Game" , a tradition that honors the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of our fallen law enforcement officers.

📅 Friday, September 25, 2026
🕖 Kickoff: 7:00 PM
📍 Rocco Ortenzio Field – McDevitt High School
🏈 Bishop McDevitt vs. Cumberland Valley

After several years away, this special event is finally returning. We were forced to pause the game during a time when the anti-law enforcement climate made it difficult to find schools willing to host this meaningful tradition. Thankfully, times have changed, and we have received numerous requests to bring it back. Sadly, we still have a few "Keyboard Klowns" who continue with the vilification and hate speech towards law enforcement and our mission, however we are honored to once again host this incredible event.

The "Thin Blue Line Game" is much more than a football rivalry on the field. It is an opportunity for our community and the law enforcement family to stand together in remembrance of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Most importantly, it is a chance to honor and support the surviving families of our fallen officers and first responders, reminding them that their loved ones are never forgotten. Join us as we fill the stands, show our appreciation for those who protect our communities, and pay tribute to the heroes who gave everything.

💙 Mark your calendars, wear your blue, and help us make the return of the "Thin Blue Line Game" a night to remember. For this night we will all be the "The Boys of Fall."
Never Forgotten. Always Honored. 💙

Lebanon Lodge No. 42 Fraternal Order of Police, and the Auxiliary were excited to participate in National Night Out last evening in Lebanon City, Cornwall Borough, and South Londonderry. National Night Out is an annual event held on the first Tuesday in August that brings communities, law enforcement, first responders, and local organizations together for a "Night Out Against Crime." The event is designed to strengthen relationships, promote public safety, and foster partnerships between those who serve and the communities they protect. We are also able to share information about the Fraternal Order of Police and the important work we do on behalf of our members.
