On Feb. 3, we honor and remember the selfless acts of Lt. George Fox, Lt. Alexander Goode, Lt. Clark Poling, and Lt. John Washington during the sinking of the U.S.A.T Dorchester. While the ship was sinking, after being hit by a German U-boat torpedo Feb. 3, 1943, the four chaplains stayed on the ship comforting the wounded and directing others to safety. The four chaplains were last seen praying together, while the ship went down. May we always remember the sacrifice the chaplains gave and the 672 lives lost. ❤️🤍💙
