The DAR Turtle Creek Chapter awarded a $500 scholarship in honor of Margaret May Heery to Luke Johnson at the Lebanon High School's senior awards night this past Wednesday. Sara Chestnut was able to say a few words on behalf of our chapter to honor this very worthy young man whom we believe will leave each place he goes a better place than he found it. Luke will be studying landscape architecture and business at Ohio State University.

This will be fun!

The Turtle Creek chapter ended their 2025-2026 meeting year with a great presentation by Laura Stanton, formerly of the Warren County Extension Service, on the Benefits of Being a Bird Nerd. We downloaded an app on our phones of bird calls and learned about the benefits to people and the environment from birds. We celebrated membership anniversaries and presented certificates received at State Conference.

Watch for our America 250 events and a reception for new members this summer.
