Enter the Mudroom

In the spirit of “This American Life,” “The Moth”, "Arctic Entries" and other urban storytelling events, The Mudroom brings Upper Valley residents to the stage to share their personal stories. At each performance, five or six selected people will each tell a seven-minute long story relating to the show’s theme. Please submit your stories via email to [email protected]. To s

ubmit, send us a brief summary of your story (max.400) or send us a 2-minute spoken audio file in which you summarize your story. Local musicians who apply may also be selected to play their music prior to the show or during intermission. There will be space for local artists to show their work. Who knew we had this much talent? We will host quarterly, Thursday evening performances at the AVA Gallery. Let the Mudroom welcome you and warm you with great, homegrown stories. $5 Suggested Donation. Each event will have local food and drink options showcasing all of the talent in the Upper Valley! Our Story

Enter the Mudroom In the spirit of “This American Life,” “The Moth”, "Arctic Entries" and other urban storytelling events, The Mudroom brings Upper Valley residents to the stage to share their personal stories: adventurous, mysterious, funny, sad and sweet. At each performance, five or six selected people will each tell a seven-minute long story relating to the show’s theme. Please submit your stories via email to [email protected] and we will send you a response to let you know if your story is selected. The themes will be posted on this site and the AVA website for each upcoming event. Local musicians who apply may also be selected to play their music prior to the show and during intermission. Local caterers will be selling dinner for a nominal fee before the show while music is played. Most of the time, there is art work on the gallery walls. Who knew we had this much talent?

We will host quarterly, Thursday evening performances at the AVA Gallery. Mudroom performances are for Adults Only. Tickets are $7.50 for AVA members and $10.00 for non-members. Tickets sell out well in advance, so don’t wait to get yours!
