2026 9U Season Wrap-Up
What a season it's been! While the scoreboard showed more losses than victories this season, that doesn't come close to telling the real story of this team. This group faced tough competition all year, and with so many players still new to the game — many with only their second year of baseball ever — every single game was a chance to learn something new. And learn they did!
Some highlights from the year:
• Never gave up. This team kept battling in games that could have easily turned into blowouts, and they kept showing up to practice with good attitudes.
• Real teammates. The dugout was full of high-fives, encouragement, and kids cheering each other on — win or lose.
• Individual growth. Nearly every player can point to a moment this season where something clicked — a first hit, a great catch, a strikeout, or just finally feeling comfortable in the batter's box.
• Love of the game. Most importantly, these kids are still excited to play. That's the real scoreboard at this age, and it reads 18-and-0 in our favor.
♥ We are thankful to the parents and families for supporting our first-year team all season long. Your love and support meant so much.
📸 We want to give special thanks to Kristen Stewart (pictured below with son Charlie and husband Nathan) who served as our team photographer all year long. You are awesome!
🧢 We want to give special thanks to the coaches, who volunteered their time and energy to help mold our young boys into good ballplayers and good people. Thank you Head Coach Jason Martin and assistant coaches Brennan Hill, Brian Moore, Justin Flannery, Paul Spencer, and Brandon Guyer!
🤩 Our final thanks go to our players, who made this fun, amazing, learning, exciting season happen. You played with heart boys, and we are very proud of your effort and enthusiam. Thank you #1 Duke, #5 Leo, #7 Joe, #9 Bennett, #12 Graham, #13 Caleb, #14 Trey, #15 Charlie, #20 Jackson, #24 Aiden, and #44 Warren.
Records fade, but confidence, friendships, and a love of baseball are what these kids will carry forward. This was a season of building blocks, and every player is better for having played it. We can't wait to see how much further they grow next year!
Go Braves! 💙⚾🧡
