A couple of reminders:
- 8 am: Fire Departments wake up the town
- 9 am: Main Street, Myrtle Ave, and Brunswick Ave close at 9am!
- 9:30am: The children's parade (Sutton Place to Lebanon Pub)
- 10am: Main Parade Steps off
- Activities continue in the Park after the parade ends!
- Free Hot Dogs and Cold Drinks!

Join us as we celebrate the 78th Annual 4th of July Parade — a cherished tradition right here in Lebanon Borough, NJ!

Date: Friday, July 4th
8:00 AM: The Fire Department kicks things off with a town-wide wake-up!
8:30 AM & 9:00 AM: Road closures begin — please plan accordingly!
9:30 AM: Children's Parade steps off
10:00 AM: Main Parade rolls through town!

The Children's parade will step off at 9:30 from Sutton Place. Registration begins at 8am.

On July 4th, 2025, Lebanon Borough will host the 78th Lebanon 4th of July Parade, the longest-running and largest 4th of July parade in Hunterdon County.
On Friday, July 4th, the Parade will step off headed west down Main Street at 10:00 am, pass the Reviewing Stand at the Lebanon Pub, turn left on Myrtle Avenue, then left again on Brunswick Avenue, to the end point at Maple Street. Roads from Route 22 into Lebanon Borough close at 8:30 am on Parade day, so plan to come early find your perfect viewing spot along the Parade route.
After the Parade, you are invited to join us for free hot dogs and cold drinks at Holjes-Sheppard Memorial Park in the heart of Lebanon Borough, behind the Lebanon Borough Elementary School. Bring your chairs and a blanket and enjoy live music and games for all ages. Take home a special souvenir! Commemorative glass mugs, etched with this year’s 78th Anniversary logo and theme – “Honoring Our Patriots” –available for purchase at the beverage station, while supplies last.

** Here’s everything you need to know about the morning festivities
for this year’s Parade **

House Decorating Contest
No registration is required to participate in this contest. Judges will tour the town on the night of July 3 to review all homes decorated for the 4th of July holiday. The judges will decide on the winning homes, based on how well the display highlights this year’s Parade theme: “77th Lebanon Boro 4th of July Parade: An Enduring Tradition”. Winners will receive a plaque during an award ceremony in Holjes-Sheppard Park after the Parade.

Fire Company “Wakes Up The Town”
The celebration begins at 8:00 am sharp on July 4th when the firehouse horns sound off and firetrucks circle throughout the Boro with sirens and horns blaring!

Road Closures
Roads into Lebanon Boro will close at 9:00 am on July 4th and re-open following the Parade. (See the Map)

The Children’s Parade
Who?
The Children’s Parade is for children up to the age of 12. 6-12-year-olds are welcome to decorate their bikes, younger children are welcomed to have decorated floats. No motorized vehicles of any kind are welcome!

When?
Registration is from 8:30 am – 9:20 am on July 4th on Sutton Place at Main Street
Where?
The Children’s Parade steps off at 9:30 am at Sutton Place, marches west on Main Street to the Fox and Hound Tavern, then turns and goes back east on Main Street to Sutton Place. Kids may choose to complete the entire loop or leave the Parade at the Fox and Hound.
Awards?
The judges will present four awards in all:
2 awards for Most Patriotic participant
1 award for Most Original participant
1 award for Theme, awarded to the participant with the best representation of this year’s parade theme which is “77th Lebanon Boro 4th of July Parade: An Enduring Tradition”.

Parade Program
If you do not receive a Parade Program at your home before the Parade, you can pick one up at the Fox and Hound on the morning of the Parade.

Mug Sales
This year’s commemorative mug is clear glass with an engraved Parade logo and theme. Sales begin at 10:00 am (no early birds!) near the drink area! $15.00/mug.

Count Down to the 4th of July Parade!

The Lebanon 4th of July Celebration Commitee & The Borough of Lebanon invites you to join them on July 4, 2024, for the 77th Lebanon Boro 4th of July Parade and Picnic, the longest running 4th of July Parade in Hunterdon County! The Parade steps off at 10:00 am, marching from east to west along Main Street in Lebanon Boro, with bands, floats, music and more all featuring this year’s theme: “An Enduring Tradition”. The Parade will turn left on Myrtle Avenue and left again on Brunswick Avenue to end at Maple Street.
The Picnic begins at Holjes-Sheppard Memorial Park when the Parade ends. This free and fun event is funded by the residents and businesses in and around Lebanon Borough. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy free hot dogs, cold drinks, and lots of traditional 4th of July family fun. Parade goers can enter the Park at Sutton Place off Main Street, just east of the Fox and Hound Tavern or off of Maple Street at the Elementary School driveway.
Dr. D Entertainment will be there to keep the party jumping and to emcee a variety of family-friendly activities for all age groups. Join a friendly game of tug-of-war, egg toss, sack race, and even a hose down, compliments of the Lebanon Borough Fire Company. The Barkers Mill Band will keep party goers entertained near the hot dog tent.
Watch for volunteers selling 50/50 tickets - $10 for an “arm’s length.” You don’t need to be present at the drawing to win. The winning number will be posted on the Borough of Lebanon Website at https://www.lebanonboro.com.

Here Comes The Parade! T-Shirts will be available for this year’s 77th Lebanon Boro 4th of July Celebration. We have a variety of adult and child sizes available for purchase at $10 each. The shirts are white with this year’s logo in color. Come into Lebanon Boro Hall anytime beginning June 10th thru July 3rd, Monday thru Friday, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Cash or check only, please.
