What better way to celebrate the 119th anniversary of Brownsea than a camping trip! Seen here are three of our Boxwell Reservation Middle Tennessee Council Brownsea Program Grads spending time fishing in Lake Barkley. Those three didn’t catch much, but one Scout caught more than a dozen fish of several species with pictures for proof. Way to go Londyn! (First time fisher)

Meet the dedicated volunteers leading this year's Wood Badge course: Jacki Neal, senior patrol leader, and Mindi Bell, course director. Through their own Wood Badge experiences, both discovered that effective leadership begins with communication, trust and a willingness to grow.

For Mindi, Wood Badge transformed the way she leads by teaching her to meet people where they are, embrace different leadership styles and trust others to succeed.

For Jacki, the course built the confidence she needed to lead while reinforcing one of Scouting's most important leadership principles: Train them. Trust them. Let them lead.

Join us Sept. 25-27 and take the next step in your leadership journey. Whether you're looking to strengthen your leadership skills, become a more effective communicator or make an even greater impact in your unit, Wood Badge provides practical tools you can use in Scouting, your career and everyday life.

Dr. John Bright Cage, former council president and current executive board member, had the opportunity to present Richard Dorland with a copy of a plaque that tells the story of his father Colonel Gilbert Dorland’s role in helping to secure Boxwell’s current property.

The plaque will be hung in the Harwell Leadership Center at Camp Stahlman.
