Community Garden Update: 🌱

Yesterday’s harvest was a big one. We brought in over 73 pounds of fresh produce from our garden. All was shared with food pantry clients.

We still have volunteer opportunities if you would like to come out and help in the garden. Some of our plants are getting close to the end of their growing season, but we are so grateful for the good harvest we’ve had this year and for everyone who has helped make it possible.

Thank you to all our volunteers who have given their time to keep the garden growing.

Today we had a farewell Sunday for accepted candidates Wesley and Kelissa Brugger and their beautiful daughter, Elizabeth.

Our prayers go with them as they begin this new chapter and head to Salvation Army Seminary (CFOT). We’re excited for what God has ahead for their family and ministry.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. It was a blessed time of worship, a good reminder that God is with us in every season, and of course, great fellowship over lunch.

Community Garden Update:

Lately we’ve been harvesting a LOT of cucumbers, including some giant ones. (Yes, we know we missed the fair veggie contest by a few weeks… apparently our cucumbers didn’t get the memo).

The tomatoes took their sweet time, but we’re finally starting to see some good ripe ones ready to pick. A whole bed of beets is also getting ready for harvest.

If you’d like to come harvest some yourself, we’ll be open Wednesday from 12:30–1 PM.

Our Soup Kitchen also resumes this Wednesday from 12–1 PM. Come by, enjoy a meal, and take home some fresh produce from the garden. Everyone is welcome.

And just like that, VBS is done.

What a fun week at Illumination Station. Our kids learned about Jesus, played games, made crafts, ate a LOT of snacks, and hopefully made some good memories along the way.

Over the week we talked about who Jesus is and why He matters. We learned that Jesus is God’s promised Son, God’s perfect Son, and the powerful Son of God.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers who showed up, helped behind the scenes, cleaned up, played games, served food, taught lessons and just made the week happen. We really couldn’t do it without you.

And most of all, thank you Jesus for a great week. ❤️

Day 3 of VBS.

Yesterday our kids learned that Jesus is the Powerful Son of God. Through the story of Jesus healing many people and feeding the 4,000, they discovered that Jesus isn’t just a great teacher. He has all power and authority, and He cares for every one of us.

“Jesus came near and said to them, ‘All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.’” Matthew 28:18.
