in Lebanon, MO, The Free Store Ministry, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation that has been serving God and their community since 1999. Our mission is to meet educational, physical and spiritual needs through programs based on Christian principles. Our goal is to equip, educate and empower individuals to develop their fullest potential regardless of their social or economic background. We continuously search out and make available resources to help them achieve their goals. In all our programs, we strive to fulfill “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39). We want to help others have what we would like for ourselves and encourage others to do the same. The manner in which we offer assistance reflects this belief. People are allowed a part of the process by selecting what will best provide for their need. We don’t believe in putting someone’s picture on the front page of the paper or on the news or even on the pages of this website just because they come for assistance. In loving and serving others, we believe that protecting privacy is important and provides peace of mind to those being served. Individuals and groups are able to provide volunteer labor, supplies, funds and more. We operate on 100% volunteer basis. We don’t require a commitment and any amount of time is greatly appreciated. Browse through the different programs for unique opportunities to help. Community Service is always welcome. We have endless opportunities and are open to suggestions. Because our services are open to everyone, this allows caring people to utilize the resources available to help others as well. Please feel free to contact us with your ideas! “Dear children, let us not love with words or in tongue but with actions and in truth, ” (1 John 3:18) “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

🏆 WE'RE IN! 🏆

Laclede County Central Dispatch is taking part in the first-ever Golden Headset Challenge — #1: THE GREAT PANTRY COUNT-OFF — a friendly food drive among 911 centers across our region.

We'll be honest: we enjoy a friendly challenge, and we'll have fun with this one. But what we're really passionate about is this community, and finding ways to give back to the people who trust us on their hardest days. It's also about the bonds between our centers — the same neighboring dispatchers we lean on during the big calls, teaming up now to take care of our hometowns together. ❤️

Through November 21, every participating community collects food for its own hometown pantry — ours is The Free Store Ministry — so local shelves are full before Thanksgiving. Every item stays local and feeds local families. The only thing that crosses county lines is the bragging rights… and one extremely shiny Golden Headset. 🎧✨

Fellow centers like Pulaski County and Texas County are collecting for their own pantries, too — different patches, one team.

THE TERMS
🥫 Collecting: November 1–21 — non-perishable food items only, please
🔢 The count: total items, counted and posted November 23 — in time for Thanksgiving
🎧 The stakes: the Golden Headset goes to the winning community's center, and the rest post the congratulations graphic

LACLEDE COUNTY — HERE'S YOUR PART 💪
Every can, box, and bag of non-perishable food you drop off fills a shelf at The Free Store and puts a meal on a local family's table:
📍 Drop-off: Laclede County Central Dispatch, 240 N Adams Ave — open 24/7
Just tell us it's for the Count-Off.

A stocked pantry changes what Thanksgiving looks like for a family. The trophy is the fun part — the giving is the point. Let's take care of our own, Laclede County.
