2026 Strawberry Festival

Reminders

Potluck and Decorate:

POTLUCK AND PREP: 6:00pm, Thursday evening, June 4th at Rachel Watcher’s house, 180 S. 6th Street in Lebanon. We will be decorating the parade trailer and prepping for the Auction. Bring a potluck dish and folding chairs. (A couple of tables would be good too.)

Friday Set-up:

SET-UP: 1:30pm at the Senior Center, Friday, June 5th. Do NOT park in the back parking lot before 1:30pm. We need all available hands-on-deck for this one!

Bake Sale:

If you are bringing items for the Friday Bake Sale, please bring them on Friday, June 5th to the Lebanon Senior Center 1:30pm – 3:30pm (unless you have arranged otherwise with me beforehand). I need to know what items you are bringing BEFORE Friday, so please email me at [email protected] or call 541-401-9780.

Parade:

Frank Cawrse is the parade coordinator and can be reached at 503-779-3215. If you are signed up to dance on the float on Saturday, June 6th, meet at 9:30am at the Senior Center. Please park in front, and go around to the BACK of the building to SHUTTLE to the float.

No specific dress-code is required although the theme is 50's. Water will be provided. If you need a ride, contact Frank. Please help with breaking down the Float at the Senior Center after the parade.

Parade Walkers: Meet at the Senior Center to shuttle to the start of the parade. Make sure you have LOTS of Free Lesson Cards and Flyers to hand out along the parade route, making sure you have enough for downtown, where the crowds will be the heaviest.

Friday/Saturday Dances:

We are having potluck Friday before the dance at 6:00pm, but we will still need some finger foods, etc. for the dance. We will also want to have finger foods at the dance Saturday (Italian Dinner at 6:00pm) night.

Italian Dinner (Saturday)

If you are bringing food for the Italian Dinner at 6:00pm on Saturday, June 6th please arrive at least ½ hour early and call Barb Schafer at 541-401-3435 if you have any questions.

Auction:

If you are bringing items for the Silent Auction, please bring them on Friday, June 5th to the Lebanon Senior Center 1:30pm – 3:30pm (unless you have arranged otherwise with me beforehand). I need to know what items you are bringing BEFORE Friday, so please email me at [email protected] or call 541-401-9780.
We will need many helpers to set up the Auction this year.

Flowers:

If you have fresh flowers to decorate the hall, please bring them on Friday during set-up. We have vases in the Club Trailer.

Experienced Clothing:

If you are consigning Experienced Clothing, please fill out the Consignment form below (there will be some at the Senior Center and you can get full-sized forms off of lebanonsquarecirclers.com, click MORE and then click STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL to download and print out). Hang and tag your own clothes using the numbers from the Consignment form. Check with Grace Christensen at 503-508-4442 or [email protected] with questions.

Clean-up:

We will meet at the Lebanon Senior Center on Sunday, June 7th at 9:30am (after breakfast at 8:30am) to clean up.

May 8th (Friday): ALLIANCE Plus Dance with Shaun McKamey calling and Stephanie Lozano cueing. 7:00pm at the Albany IOOF Hall, 738 SE 5th Street.

We are still finalizing the dates, but Bruce is planning on three Plus Dances/Workshops this summer: Fridays: June 26th, July 17th and August TBA. These dances will be held at the Lebanon Senior Center, 7:00pm to 9:30pm, $7.00.

Club Dues are due June 7th. Please make sure to give Barb Schafer your $10.00 per person dues for the coming year, or mail them to P.O. Box 671, Lebanon, OR 97355. (If you are a new member and paid your dues recently, you do not need to renew at this time.)

Hi Everyone! Another reminder!!!!- LSC YARD SALE This week it starts!!!
THURSDAY, April 23rd, FRIDAY, April 24th, and SATURDAY, April 25th! It's time for the first annual Square Circler's Yard Sale! We hope to make this a yearly fundraiser, with all proceeds from your donated items going directly to the Club's treasury. Your support makes a big difference, and we really need your help!
Please bring any donations to Terry and Cathye by or before Wednesday. Items that usually sell well include clothes, shoes, tools, jewelry, kitchenware, records, DVDs, books, toys, bikes, games, fishing gear, and small appliances—although it’s up to you what to donate. Please avoid bringing large items like refrigerators or sofas unless you’re willing to take them back if they don’t sell. Anything left unsold will be boxed up and sent to a school fundraiser (details below).
We especially appreciate extra hands on Wednesday to help set up and price items. Come by whenever you can—we’ll start around 9:00am. Tasks include setting up popups and tables, and organizing and pricing the donations. More helpers mean lighter work for everyone!
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, any additional help is welcome, especially in the mornings. Thursday brings lots of serious swap meet shoppers and resellers, so the more assistance we have, the better! If you can spare even a few hours, it's appreciated. During the sale, we'll need people to answer questions and arrange merchandise. Coffee and doughnuts will be available each morning, and we’ll pool together for lunch—think pizza, Subway, or something similar. Don’t forget to bring a chair! Help is also needed at the end of each day to collect signs and box up unsold items on Saturday.
After Kaynor selects items for the Strawberry Dance Auction, Cathye has arranged for someone to pick up remaining unsold items for another organization’s fundraiser. The sale takes place at Terry and Cathye Kinkelaar’s home (58 Oak Creek Way, Lebanon), south of town off So. Main St., from 7:00 am onward.

Mid-Winter Dinner at Pop’s

Lebanon Square Circlers will meet for their annual Mid-Winter dinner at Pop’s Branding Iron, Saturday, January 24th at 4:00pm. Pop’s is located at 901 Pacific Blvd. SE in Albany.
