What an exciting day! We are so proud to have our own Rotarian, Russ Roberts selected as this year’s Boone County 4th of July Parade Marshall! A wonderful award for an exceptional community servant! ❤️🤗🇺🇸🇺🇸🎆🎇👏👏👏

As we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and 250 years of freedom, the Boone County Fourth of July Committee is proud to announce our 2026 Parade Marshal!

Each year, the committee carefully considers nominees who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication, service, and commitment to our community. We look for individuals who embody the spirit of volunteerism, patriotism, and selfless service to others.

This year’s selection was unanimous.

Our 2026 Parade Marshal is a man who has spent a lifetime serving both his country and his community. He is a veteran, a patriot, a volunteer, a dedicated Rotarian, and someone who has consistently put the needs of others before his own. His contributions to Boone County have touched countless lives, and his example continues to inspire generations.

As Boone County’s oldest living veteran at 101 years old, he represents the very best of what it means to serve.

The Boone County Fourth of July Committee is honored to recognize and congratulate Russ Roberts as the 2026 Boone County Fourth of July Parade Marshal! 👏👏👏

Thank you, Mr. Roberts, for your service, your leadership, and your lifelong commitment to our community and our nation. We look forward to celebrating with you as we honor America’s 250th Birthday this Fourth of July!
