🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Today, we are celebrating a massive double milestone! We always say our members are high-achievers, but these two incredible women just took things to a whole new level by earning their postgraduate degrees. Join us in celebrating the brains, strength, and dedication of Stacey and Courtney!

Stacey: The Ultimate Multi-Tasker 🩺🎓

Stacey is already an accomplished Physician Assistant, but she didn’t stop there. She just graduated with her MBA from the Boston University Questrom School of Business! Balancing a demanding healthcare career with rigorous business school is a massive undertaking, but as a Boston Marathon finisher, Stacey clearly knows exactly what it takes to power through a long term grind.

Courtney: The Master of Education (and Juggling!) 🍎🎓

Huge congratulations to Courtney for earning her Master of Arts in Education from Stockton University! Courtney perfectly embodies "getting it all done". She’s been successfully juggling work, her own training, and dedicating her time to serving on the BaseCamp board. Now that the textbooks are officially closed and school is out, we think it’s the perfect time for her to start that marathon training. Who is going to help us hold her to it? 😉

🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Karen Dos Santos 🌟

It is time to celebrate another incredible athlete in our community! This week, the spotlight is on Karen Dos Santos, who is coming off an absolutely dominant month of April.

April Race Results: A Masterclass 🏃‍♀️💨

Karen didn't just race in April; she took over the podium!

April 12 (Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom 10k): Karen took home 2nd Overall Female and helped lead her Coed Team to a 3rd Place finish! 🌸🥈

April 26 (USATF Masters National 10k Championship): Competing against a strong field, Karen finished 6th Overall Female and 4th in her Age Group, smashing her personal goal time in the process! 🏅🔥

The Heart (and Pulse) of the Club 💓

Beyond the finish lines, Karen is a pillar of our group. You can find her most Saturdays leading and encouraging the lead pack, ensuring everyone stays motivated through the tough miles.

She also keeps her finger on the pulse of the club, making sure we know about the achievements of all our members. Karen is the first to celebrate others, so today, it’s our turn to celebrate her!

On Saturday, BaseCamp Athletic Club supported Clinton Township Country Run running, volunteering and cheering on the runners. Kudos to our partners at Main Street Marathon for putting on another excellent local event. To top the day off, two BCAC athletes took top honors with Dave DiCerbo finishing first overall and Kristen Prendergast finishing first overall female!

Patrick Anderson: Boston Bound 🦄

In the heat of his training for the upcoming Boston Marathon, he recently clocked a blistering 1:20:58 half marathon. That is some serious speed, and we can’t wait to see him crush it on Boylston Street!

Scarlett Prendergast: The Freshman Phenom 👟

The future is bright on the track! Scarlett Prendergast made her high school debut in style. In her very first 1600m track event as a freshman, she didn't just compete—she took the win! 🥇 It’s rare to see that kind of composure in a first race, and we’re so proud of her effort.
