🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Karen Dos Santos 🌟

It is time to celebrate another incredible athlete in our community! This week, the spotlight is on Karen Dos Santos, who is coming off an absolutely dominant month of April.

April Race Results: A Masterclass 🏃‍♀️💨

Karen didn't just race in April; she took over the podium!

April 12 (Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom 10k): Karen took home 2nd Overall Female and helped lead her Coed Team to a 3rd Place finish! 🌸🥈

April 26 (USATF Masters National 10k Championship): Competing against a strong field, Karen finished 6th Overall Female and 4th in her Age Group, smashing her personal goal time in the process! 🏅🔥

The Heart (and Pulse) of the Club 💓

Beyond the finish lines, Karen is a pillar of our group. You can find her most Saturdays leading and encouraging the lead pack, ensuring everyone stays motivated through the tough miles.

She also keeps her finger on the pulse of the club, making sure we know about the achievements of all our members. Karen is the first to celebrate others, so today, it’s our turn to celebrate her!

On Saturday, BaseCamp Athletic Club supported Clinton Township Country Run running, volunteering and cheering on the runners. Kudos to our partners at Main Street Marathon for putting on another excellent local event. To top the day off, two BCAC athletes took top honors with Dave DiCerbo finishing first overall and Kristen Prendergast finishing first overall female!

Saturday, on a chilly but sunny morning, around 20 BaseCamp Athletic Club athletes participated in the Run O' the Mill 5k in downtown Clinton. A fun time was had and we took home a couple medals with Justin Scheid finishing 2nd overall and Karen Dos Santos 1st Overall Female. 🏅🏆💪
