**2027 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT - SHOW #5**

We're going to round out our amazing 2027 season with the classic Christmas story, It's A Wonderful Life Radio Play, directed by Jan Jamison!

It's a Wonderful Life is the story of George Bailey, the unsung, beloved hero of Bedford Falls. As a child, George risked his own life to save his brother from drowning. As he grew older, his countless small deeds mattered very much in the lives of the Bedford Falls townspeople. George prepares to leave town and go to college to fulfill his dream of building skyscrapers. However, when his father, the president of the small Bailey Building and Loan Company, dies, George postpones his dreams, manages the family company, and finds happiness in his marriage to Mary Hatch. When Uncle Billy accidentally misplaces company funds, George faces financial ruin and almost certain imprisonment. Seeing no way out, he runs to the bridge over the river, prepared to plunge to his death. Enter Clarence, George's lovable, bumbling guardian angel, who has come to Bedford Falls to prove to George that his life is worth living and to earn wings for himself. He grants George one wish: to see what the world would be like if he had never been born. Suddenly Bedford Falls is a very unpleasant place: the bustling small town main street is lined with pool halls and saloons; none of his friends or family recognize him, not even his beloved wife, Mary, who, in this world without him, is a prim spinster. Pursued by police, George returns to the bridge and begs to have his life back. Clarence grants it and George runs home to find his children, his wife, and a town that rallies to support him. Finally, George comes to realize…it truly is a wonderful life.

The Unbroken Chain, by Kurt Schauppner, directed by Matt Spurlock & Kelli Conkin

It is the early 1990s, and the Schoenfeldts are an all-American family that have a long-standing family tradition; every generation one of the members go to war. From the Franco-Prussian War to the Vietnam War each generation has sent a son to fight. Robert Schoenfeldt is 18 and deciding on his path. His sister Vera has just passed away and his parents Helen and Ernest are still reeling from the aftermath.

**2027 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT - SHOW #3**

The Odd Couple (Female version), by Neil Simon, directed by Nicole Amsler

Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in the female version of Neil Simon’s hilarious contemporary comic classic, The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The guys are replaced by the gals, and the Pidgeon sisters are replaced by the Costazuela brothers, but the hilarity remains the same.

This Random World, by Steven Dietz, directed by Matt McKee

We want to believe that serendipity brings us together, but is that just a myth? Mining the comedy of missed connections, This Random World asks the serious question of how often we travel parallel paths through the world without noticing. From an ailing woman who plans one final trip, to her daughter planning one great escape and her son falling prey to a prank gone wrong, this funny, intimate, and heartbreaking play explores the lives that may be happening just out of reach of our own.

We are going to spend Memorial Day weekend announcing our five shows for the 2027 season!!

The Christians, by Lucas Hnath, directed by Gus Pearcy

Pastor Paul’s church was nothing more than a modest storefront 20 years ago. Now he presides over a congregation of thousands, with classrooms for Sunday school, a coffee shop in the lobby and a baptismal font as big as a swimming pool. Today should be a day of celebration. But Paul is about to preach a sermon that will shake the foundations of his church’s beliefs. A big-little play that uses the theatricality of microphones to examine faith in America – and the trouble with changing your mind about it.
