Official invite to a Centennial Ball: 1776/1876.

We are pleased to announce that tickets are now available to the general
public for a ball to celebrate America's first big birthday! Please
join us for A Centennial Ball: 1776/1876, to be held in at Mount Carmel
Congregational Church's Parish Hall in Hamden, Connecticut, on Saturday,
July 25, 2026, sponsored by the NJ/NY chapter of the International
Costumers' Guild. This is a formal ball in the style of the Centennial
Balls actually held in 1876, with dances of the late nineteenth century
but costumes either of the late nineteenth century OR the Revolutionary
War era! Modern formal is also an option; we want everyone to feel
welcome even if you don't have a specific historical outfit. The site
is air-conditioned, so you will feel comfortable in your finery!
