“It’s On Us”- McKendree University is a student-directed group that aims to engage the entire McKendree campus community in preventing acts of sexual violence and raising awareness about sexual assault. Through informational tabling, guest speakers, and interactive events, “It’s On Us” will bring this information to the campus community. “It’s On Us” works in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs.

Our Story

It’s On Us was launched September of 2014. It’s On Us is a nation wide movement to end sexual assault and provide victims awareness. It’s On Us challenges the societal acceptance of sexual assault, r**e culture, and victim blaming. We at Mckendree, want to engage in conversations to prevent and end sexual abuse/violence. We ask all to join in providing a solution with and for victims. It’s On Us is growing rapidly with popularity. Since 2015, 300,000 have pledged and taken a stand against societal normality. It’s On Us works with 95 partners and 500 students differing in campuses. We as Bearcats stand with those affected by sexual assault or abuse of any form. Our doors, hearts, and activism are open and optimistic for a new future!
