Love INC Boone County partners with New Hope Christian Church (Whitestown) to provide a “Meat the Needs” Frozen Meat & Eggs Pantry for families in our community!

Families can receive frozen meat as well as a dozen eggs to help stretch their grocery budget and put nourishing meals on the table.

Today! (March 28th) Rain or shine! Come join us from 11-1 at The Shalom House (304 W. Green St.) We are serving FREE hot meals. Dine in, curbside, and walk up carry out are available. We are serving smoked sausage, cheesy noodles, roll, fruit, and dessert while supplies last. menus are subject to substitutions) No call in deliveries available. Four meals maximum per car. Please remain in your car for curbside carry outs. If you have food needs beyond a meal for lunch today, we can refer you to a local food pantry that can help. We have a lot of new Free non perishable food items available on our free bench so come on in! All are welcome!

Today! (March 24th) Come join us from 5-7 at The Shalom House (304 W. Green St.) for our free community dinner! Dine in, curbside, and walk up carry out. We are serving Ham n beans, cornbread, mixed veggies, fruit, and dessert. Inside diners will receive pie or cake. (menu subject to change as items may run out) Maximum of FOUR meals per curbside car/family. No call in deliveries available. If you have food needs beyond a meal for tonight, we can refer you to a local food pantry that can help. We have lots of new non perishable food available on our free bench inside for you to take home. All are welcome! See you soon!

We are honored to share that 5 Loaves and 2 Fish presented our Health & Human Sciences Educator, Pandora Taylor, with a Certificate of Appreciation for the donations made to their food pantry during the Fair Cares Food Drive at the Boone County 4-H Fair! 🙌

Purdue Extension–Boone County is proud and grateful that the work we do—through activities, programs, and community partnerships—continues to make a meaningful impact right here at home. 💚

🎉 FAIRs Cares Food Drive Wrap-Up! 🎉
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Boone County community during the 2025 Boone County 4-H Fair, we are thrilled to share the impact YOU made:
🥫 1,843 items donated
⚖️ 1,726.8 lbs of food collected
💵 $854 raised
These contributions are directly supporting our local pantries:
❤️ Lebanon Manor
❤️ Advance Food Distribution (AFD2)
❤️ The Caring Center
❤️ 5 Loaves and 2 Fish (St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church)
❤️ Ruth Newby Food Pantry
But we’re not done yet! 🎟️ You can still support Boone County pantries by purchasing Indiana State Fair tickets at the Purdue Extension-Boone County office (1300 E 100 S, Lebanon, IN). All proceeds from ticket sales go straight to these local food pantries.

FREE Kids Sack Lunches: Summer Break

Boone County Parents! Today (June 30th) is free lunch pick up day! See details below. All are welcome with a need! No registration necessary just bring your ID. Five lunches, five breakfast, five snacks, five fruits, cheese stick, milk voucher and a free book. Meals are different each week!

We are exited to announce during the 2025 Boone Co.🍀4-H Fair, drop off 12 food items and get 1 FREE 2025 Indiana State Fair ticket🎟 during the🥫FAIRs Cares FOOD DRIVE in Lebanon, IN July 20th - July 26th.

Drop off locations starts July 20th - July 26th
➡Boone Cooperative Advantage Building from July 20th - July 25th starting at 10am-3:30pm.
➡Boone Co. Farm Bureau Inc. Community Building from July 24th - July 26th starting at 6:00pm-4:00pm.
All food collected will go to local food pantries in need.
