We had our first CHASCo meeting of the year today at Cumberland University! 🎉

A big thank-you to our friends at Cumberland for hosting us and making it such a wonderful event. We also appreciated Dr. Stumb stopping by to welcome us to campus!

We had a great lineup of presentations and conversations. Our friends at American Baptist College shared a poster presentation they developed for the National Problem Gambling Conference, and Dr. James Whelan from the Gambling Clinic presented on the latest research surrounding gambling and sports betting.

Finally, our very own Lisa Schrader shared insights from our most recent Healthy Minds Survey results.

And, of course, congratulations to Katherine Drotos Cuthbert for taking home the win in our Bingo Challenge! 🏆🎉

We’re looking forward to another great year of collaboration, learning, and advancing the important work of CHASCo!

What an amazing day! Thanks to our partners at the TN Department of Health and the TN Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services for honoring Overdose Awareness Day today and helping pack 1500 overdose response kits for CHASCo! 500 of those kits have already been shipped to our campuses in time for Overdose Awareness Day activities on their campuses across the state.

Nearly 200 prevention professionals, campus leaders, and community partners from across Tennessee gathered for the 10th annual Partners in Prevention statewide training event on May 18th and 19th. With approximately 35 campuses represented, the event highlighted a decade of collaboration between campus and community partners committed to strengthening prevention efforts statewide. The training reflects Tennessee’s ongoing commitment to preventing and reducing substance use while promoting the mental health and well-being of students across the state.

Thank you to our partners at the Tennesse Certification Board, the TN Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, our speakers and TICUA for helping to make this event happen!

Come and support HBCU Night at the Nashville Predators game on Thursday, January 22, at 7:00 PM and to help spread the word throughout your networks.

This will be an exciting evening as several of our HBCU students will be spotlighted and participating in activities during the game, showcasing the talent and excellence of our campus communities on a major stage.

An added bonus: ticket purchasers can choose to direct a portion of their ticket proceeds to the HBCU institution of their choice. Come out and help support our HBCU's in Middle TN!
