Every educator in Wilson County deserves a hero's welcome as they return to school. So, joining our Chambers of Commerce, public servants, and other local organizations for We Love Our Teachers Day is an easy and meaningful way to show your support.

Leadership Wilson Dare to Dine 2023 is coming up on Saturday, September 9th!! We need more Host Homes!!

Info:

Dare to Dine began many years ago. It was originally a true “Dare” to dine. Guests would sign up and LW would assign them to a host home a few weeks before the event. We would let the host know a week or so before the event who would be dining at their home. Through the years, the event has changed to accommodate those that wanted to invite their own guests…maybe a class party or a friends night for dinner. By allowing this, our event has grown and been more profitable. We now allow a host home to invite their own guests or Dorie can surprise them with guests. If a host home invites their own, she will just need a list of their guests so that she can email them and collect their payments.

Anyone can host – it does not have to be a LW alum

There is no minimum or maximum number of seats at a host home. We have had as few as 6 and as many as 30. It is whatever the host is comfortable seating at their home.

The host is responsible for the dinner. Each host can cook or have it catered…whatever is good for them. The host covers the cost as a donation to LW.

LW is responsible for collecting the guests money for their reservation. $65 each.

LW is responsible for setting the times and notifying all guests and hosts with event information

Dinner will begin at each home at 6pm.

The Dessert Finale will be at one home (separate from all host homes) and all guests are to arrive a the dessert home at 8:30pm.
