Changes? Why soitenly!
Dear Tour de Stooges riders,
If you’ve ridden the Tour de Stooges before, you know this ride has always been about more than just miles on a map. It’s been about laughter at rest stops, good food shared with friends (old and new) and the joy of riding together on some of our favorite roads.
Because you’ve been such an important part of that story, we wanted you to hear this news directly from us.
After many years of running the Tour de Stooges entirely as a labor of love, we’ve realized that it's time to hand over the reins. This wasn’t an easy decision — this ride has meant so much to us — but we’re thrilled to share that Trailnet will be taking over the Tour de Stooges moving forward.
We want you to know how much thought went into this transition. Trailnet is a nonprofit organization we deeply trust, not only to run a safe, well-organized ride, but to honor the spirit of what has made the Tour de Stooges so special over the years. We’re confident the ride is in very good hands. They are NOT a bunch of lamebrains!
You may notice a few changes, including different route options, but everything that riders have always loved about the Tour de Stooges, such as the welcoming atmosphere, an annual T-shirt for your collection, the great food, the well-placed rest stops and the sense of community will still be there. We fully support these updates and believe they’ll help ensure the ride continues strong for years to come. You’ll receive an email from Trailnet soon, and will receive the link to register for the ride on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Most of all, we want to say thank you. Thank you for riding with us, for showing up year after year, for bringing your energy, humor and kindness to this event. It’s been an absolute joy to share so many miles and memories with you.
We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Trailnet and that you’ll continue riding the Tour de Stooges as it enters this next chapter.
With deep gratitude,
Gateway East Trails
