Lebanon Area Habitat serves East Linn County, Oregon communities in ZIP Codes: 97355, 97327, 97386, 97345, and 97329 with home repairs and builds. Our Habitat ReStore partners with small and box store businesses that donate new home and garden, building and hardware supplies, décor and furniture, set below retail prices. Also, through donations from the community, they offer a unique supply of mat

erials for older homes not available in stores, which save money and reduce materials waste in our landfills. By shopping and donating, this nonprofit store not only supports their invaluable work but contributes to maintaining healthy homes within your local community. Our Home Repair and Preservation Program offers repair services to homeowners so Oregonians can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come. Home repair work includes minor and critical repairs, from painting and weatherization to ramp building, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and heating and air. Both programs accept HUD income levels for Linn County from 30-80 percent. They can even accept manufactured and mobile home projects; please see our website for details. Our Habitat Homeownership Program partners with individuals and families from application through construction, helping prepare for the various responsibilities of homeownership, including learning about personal finances, mortgages, maintenance, and upkeep of a home. Once we purchase land or someone donates property, we post an open application period for our next home build.

Today is National Inventors’ Day, and some visionaries imagined a future where affordable housing could be printed layer by layer. 🏠

Habitat partners are turning that vision into reality—using 3D printing to build homes faster, more affordably, and more sustainably. Take a look at the latest Habitat 3D-printed home and see innovation at work:

Habitat for Humanity on Long Island has completed its first-ever 3D-printed house, a move the nonprofit hopes will lead to more being built nationwide.

Home is more than four walls—it’s a civil right and a pathway to generational wealth. This Black History Month, we honor the communities who endured and overcame bank redlining, discriminatory lending, and unequal housing systems that shaped generations. Habitat for Humanity stands with communities to build not just homes, but justice.

In the mid-1960s, King didn’t just speak about racial integration: he lived and led a campaign in Chicago specifically to confront poor housing conditions, segregation, and discriminatory housing practices. This effort was part of the broader Chicago Freedom Movement.

As the year draws to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude. 💙 To every donor who supported our local Habitat for Humanity in 2025—thank you for helping turn hope into homes and neighbors into communities.

Because of you, families are building strength, stability, and self-reliance—and that impact will carry into the years ahead.

If you’ve been thinking about giving, today is the final day of the year to make a tax-deductible donation. Your gift, made before midnight, will help us start the new year ready to serve more families right here at home.
