We had a amazing day of hiking at Delany Creek Park, Labor Day Saturday. It's a great little park with its campground and lake beach area which was very popular with our extreme temps. It's an enjoyable drive through beautiful Indiana's back roads to get there. We came to hike 6 extreme miles of the World famous Knobstone Trail. Because of extreme temps and long distance we had 11 hikers and had a great time climbing those steep hills as we huffed and puffed our way up. Everyone carried extra water and snacks along with bug spray which we needed as we bushwhacked a little as some areas had brush on the trail. We had four first-timers with us, Tyler, Greg, Will and Katie. We think they will be back. Thank you Michele and Annie for leading us and Petra for figuring out the trail, and sweeping with Julie and Yaala. Thanks to Scott for scheduling these hikes. Thanks to Greg and everyone that post pics of our hikes. See you on the next hike!
