🚨LIST OF NEEDED SUPPLIES FOR THE DINNER UPDATED 🚨
🚨Volunteers still needed on Tuesday October 8, 2024 from 11am-3pm at Freeway Lanes. (Set Up, Keep food topped off, empty trash, and clean up)🚨
On Tuesday September 24, 2024, Fred and his wife Lois Davis were leaving their home to celebrate their only son Daniel Davis’s birthday at his house.
As they were leaving Fred fell approx. 4 Steps (Lois thinks his knee gave out). She saw him fall from the 1st or 2nd step and he landed on the concrete pad at the bottom of the steps.
He had recently been put on blood thinners and ended up with a brain bleed that affected 5 parts of his brain including the brain stem and multiple fractures in his face and skull.
Fred had a living will; so, With family beside them, Lois and Daniel had to make some very hard decisions and follow his wishes. Fred was removed from the Ventilator Tuesday October 1, 2024, at 7pm and Comfort care was provided until Thursday at 3:26am when he peacefully Transitioned over to what he referred to as “The Fun Side of Heaven”.
Fred W. Davis Obituary
Fred W. Davis, 68, of Southington, OH passed away on October 3, 2024, at Hospice House.
He was born January 7, 1956, in Canton, OH, a son of the late Joe and Juanita (Knight) Davis. He was raised by his Aunt Mary and Uncle Nelson Taylor.
Fred played football and was declared the best defensive tackle in Trumbull county. He was a graduate of LaBrae high school. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Jake. He was an excellent father and grandfather figure to many. Fred took great enjoyment from supporting THE Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians sports teams. He coached little league baseball, LAC.
Fred married his high school sweetheart, the former Lois Benson, on August 16, 1975. Fred was employed as a Production Operator at Johnsonite for 27 years. Fred attended Braceville and Southington Christian Churches.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lois (Benson) Davis; son, Daniel (Heidi) Davis; siblings, Ernie (Belinda), Tracy, Mark, Brian (Delta) and Tonia; grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony, Camryn, Paege and JoJo and countless nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dana, Roger, James Luther and Jim; his sisters, Sandy, Tammy and brother-in-law, Eric.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Matthew Brobst will officiate.
Friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on October 8, 2024, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Southington Reformed Cemetery, Southington, OH following the service.
Services have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

( if you were dropping off any items, someone is at the bowling alley now through the end of the dinner to receive all drop off items unfortunately we will be unable to keep up with all the Facebook post on an individual level since we are now actively helping with the event )
As well as a few volunteers to help set things up on Tuesday Morning and to help make sure the dinner runs smoothly.
Any monetary donations for the above listed supplies can be sent to (Link Removed now that the event is over) and a tax deductible donation letter will be sent to you if you provide your address with the donation.
Any money received in access to the amount needed for the dinner will be given to Lois Davis Directly to help with expenses.
