On 7/17, a group from Empower at Empac visited for the day. Fishing was a little slower than normal and it was hot, but the large group had a picnic in the pavilion and good time anyway!

On July 10th, one of our regular groups came out: United Cerebral Palsy Heartland. The weather was good but the fishing, not quite as good as usual. But, a good time was had by all!

On June 24th, longtime friend, stroke survivor and Kemp Lake coordinator, Leo Lennartz visited with his brother Frank and guide Jim Hart. They "flung a cravin' on dem fish" (as the late Otis Blevins might say) and caught some 50 fish in just a few hours!

Years ago, Leo helped hatch the whole idea of taking disabled people fishing on our accessible docks and also came up with the name "breakaway docks" for the Kemp Lake Rube Goldberg bass "boats'!

The 6th Annual CAST For Kids at Kemp Lake was likely the best one yet! On Saturday, June 20, the weather was perfect - not too hot, not cold. Everybody caught fish, the entertainment by Curt Landes was great (as usual), Jeff Barnes' interviews with the participants and his awarding of plaques all went off without a hitch!

Saturday, June 20 at Kemp Lake in Leasburg, Missouri.

Adaptive-friendly fishing, family support, outdoor fun, and no cost to participate. Free rod, reel, hat, shirt and plaque with their picture on it. Lunch with awards ceremony, too!
