We were called to the 214 exit ramp this morning for a vehicle on fire. Like most departments in the area, we are all volunteer and are proud to serve our community. A special shout out to the driver who, even finding themselves in a dangerous and chaotic situation, was able to safely navigate the vehicle to a stop. Not an easy thing to do!

We are excited to announce the newest member of our team! Tony Boero comes with an impressive resume of river experience and given the area of river we cover to assist and protect locals and visitors alike, we are looking forward to taking our department to the next level in how we respond on water. For those who listen to the scanner, you can look forward to hearing 2805 in action.

⚠️BREAKING: Just in the SPC has now upgraded a very large part of our viewing region to a Level 4 out of 5 Severe Risk now for this afternoon. ALL Modes of Severe will be possible but remember NOT everyone will see these storms due to the nature of the setup.
