Lint happens. Fires don’t have to. Lint buildup can lead to a dryer fire if it’s not cleaned regularly.

• Clean the lint filter before or after each load.
• Make sure the outdoor vent flap opens when the dryer is running.
• Have a qualified service person clean the inside of the dryer cabinet and exhaust duct once a year.

We’re looking at another day of heat AND the potential for severe weather across Hinds County on Monday.

🥵 HEAT: Heat index values could approach 105°F. Stay hydrated, limit prolonged outdoor activity, and know the signs of heat-related illness.

⛈️ SEVERE STORMS: Hinds County is under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe storms, mainly between Noon and 8 PM. The primary threat will be damaging winds up to 60 mph.
