Awesome
“Wow! This is really fun!” Read more from Today's Br. Jared Quidlat of Theodore Roosevelt Chapter who shares: "I was first introduced to DeMolay by my dad who is a Freemason. I never looked into DeMolay in the beginning, it was only the things I heard about it: scholarships, connections/networking, and famous Senior DeMolays. I don’t remember any motive that stood out to me, but once I became a DeMolay I was like, “Wow! This is really fun!”
My first experience was Texas DeMolay Government Day. Being able to sit in the state capital and debate with our fellow DeMolay brothers and sisters from The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls was special. To me, being a DeMolay becomes more enjoyable when we come together as a team or friendly competitors. I’ve always looked forward to all the get togethers and events we have. Plus, I have made many friendship, inside jokes, and fond memories.
Now, I’m only two months or so into my term, but I have come to appreciate the hard work that goes on behind the scenes from the councilors and advisors. It’s difficult when you few members that attend meetings, but it’s a powerful learning experience in trying to motivate and communicate with other members of the chapter. The key thing I have experienced is the importance of communication in our organization. Despite the learning curve as Master Councilor, I look forward to the eventful year ahead."
