We kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month off right!🩷
Thanks to our incredible community, the 2nd Annual Serve-a-thon raised more than $8,500 to directly support breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment.
Thank you to UTMB, Dr. Colleen Silva, the Clear Falls Knights Volleyball Team, and every donor, survivor, and supporter who made this event so powerful.

She Vive, Inc is thrilled to announce that we are kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by partnering with UTMB and the Clear Falls Knights Volleyball Team to host the 2nd Annual Serve-a-thon fundraiser. All proceeds will directly benefit breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment and in need of support.

We are especially privileged to welcome Dr. Colleen Silva, Professor of Surgery and Medical Director of Breast Cancer Services at UTMB, as our keynote speaker. Dr. Silva will open the event with a powerful message on breast cancer awareness, early detection and prevention, and the importance of breast health for younger generations.

We are so excited for our community to come together, celebrate survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and directly support women bravely fighting breast cancer today. Whether you attend to cheer on the Serve-a-thon participants, learn from an expert, or simply stand in solidarity with those impacted by breast cancer, your presence is welcome!

📍 Event Details:
• Date & Time: October 1st | 3:30 PM
• Location: Clear Falls High School Competition Gym
• Program: Welcome remarks from She Vive, Inc. co-founders Claire Farley, Shirley Pingel, and Sarah Oyelakin → Educational keynote by Dr. Silva → SERV-A-THON fundraiser

✨ How the Serve-a-thon Works:
• Each Clear Falls Volleyball player will secure 10 donors pledging $5 per serve made over the net (flat donations also welcome).
• Every player will attempt 20 serves—with the goal of making them all.
• Only players with their 10 donors secured may participate.
• Following the event, players will contact their donors to collect pledges.
🩷 Special Features at the Event:
• Concessions with specialty pink drinks (all proceeds supporting patients in need)
• Music, a photo booth, and an interactive encouragement banner where you can share words of hope, support, or remembrance
• She Vive, Inc yard signs available for purchase to show your support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Earlier last month, co- founders Claire Farley, Shirley Pingel, and Sarah Oyelakin had the privilege of presenting with a $3,000 donation at our high school pep rally. It was an incredible opportunity to share our mission with the community and thank everyone who played a part in making this possible.

Thanks to the funds raised by She Vive, Inc., more uninsured patients will now have access to the care they deserve. We are beyond grateful for every donation, sponsorship, and hour of support that helped bring this vision to life.

But our work doesn’t stop here—stay tuned for our upcoming event in October as we kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

We are officially… 2 DAYS AWAY FROM THE TOURNAMENT🌟

Players, here’s what you need to know:
- The event starts at 6:00pm, but feel free to come a little early to check in and begin warming up
- Games will begin following the Pledge of Allegiance, said by Judge Rebecca Millo 👩‍⚖️
- You will play 3 games that will last 20 minutes and a break between each game
- Winners of games will be determined by the team with the most points by the end of the 20 minutes
- Shirt and teams will be assigned at welcome desk
- Walk in players are WELCOME, but not guaranteed a shirt upon signup- $25 signup fee still applies
- Come hungry and thirsty! Lots of concessions including: Canes, Hotdogs, Snacks, Cookies, Candy, Regular and Specialty drinks, and more!
- Prizes will be awarded at the end for winners
- Sportsmanship, positivity, and patience is appreciated 🩷

Supporters/ Crowd:
- Arrive at 6pm to get first glance at silent auction, first dibs on the photo booth, guaranteed bleacher seats, and first drinks of the night!
- Come hungry 😋
- Come in your pinkest outfit and most giving hearts 🩷
- Come photo ready, there will be a photographer 📸

Volunteers:
- Arrive at the time you selected to volunteer on the Microsoft form
- Volunteer assignments will be given upon arrival
- If you signed up and are unable to make it, please let a Co-founder or Director know ASAP
- Come with your most positive attitude! 🩷

ALL: This is it, our chance to make a BIG impact! Our goal is simple: raise as many funds as we can for The Rose and She Vive, Inc to support strong, courageous women fighting breast cancer. 💪💗 Every game played, every snack bought, every bid placed brings us one step closer to changing lives. We’re so excited to invite you to She Vive, Inc’s “Cancer’s a Beach!” Volleyball Tournament — happening Friday, June 21st from 6–9PM at the League City Sportsplex!

We’re proud to be teaming up with The Rose Houston, with proceeds supporting both of our missions: to provide life-saving breast health services, advocacy, and access to care for all.

Here’s how to join:
Scan the QR code above or visit our website to sign up. Your payment confirms your spot, secures your event t-shirt, and gets you a digital ticket.

This is a family-friendly event open to ALL AGES and ALL LEVELS — whether you want to play or just come out and support, everyone is welcome!

A few important things to know:
• This event is run by a student nonprofit — 100% of proceeds stay local and support Houston’s breast cancer community.
• Kids are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
• Feel free to bring chairs, tents, and coolers!
• Food and drinks will be available for purchase — all benefiting the cause.
• Players will be grouped into teams of 6–8 based on age and skill level.
• Each team will create their own name and rally chant!
• Only registered players and event officials are allowed in the sand courts.
• Weather decisions will be made by League City Officials — no refunds.
• We’ll try to accept day-of signups, but spots aren’t guaranteed.
• Don’t forget to bring water!
• And lastly — have fun with your look! Wigs, face paint, costumes, crazy sunglasses — the more spirited, the better.
