We were honored to welcome Devereux’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Carl Clark, and Chief Strategy Officer, Leah Yaw, from Devereux National to the Devereux Texas campus this week!

During their visit, they shared Devereux’s 2026–2028 Strategic Plan with our team, highlighting the organization’s vision and commitment to the individuals and families we serve. Carl and Leah also spent time connecting with employees across campus and learning more about the impactful work happening every day at Devereux Texas.

Of course, no visit to Texas would be complete without a little Texas-sized fun! 🤠 Carl and Leah proudly donned their cowboy hats, embracing the Lone Star spirit while enjoying the warm hospitality that makes Devereux Texas so special.

The visit concluded with a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by the Devereux Texas team, a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, collaboration, and celebration of our shared mission.

🌍💙 We’re proud to celebrate Taylor Burnett-Harris, Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, with Devereux Texas, for presenting her research at the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) Conference alongside Dr. Dorothea Lerman of the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Taylor’s presentation, “Virtual Training of Dental Students in Zambia to Improve the Care of Patients with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities,” explored innovative ways to expand access to compassionate, effective dental care for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities around the world.

The research focused on training dental students in Zambia to implement behavior-analytic strategies that help patients feel more comfortable and supported during dental visits. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in participants’ skills and highlighted the power of global, cross-disciplinary collaboration in expanding access to care.

At Devereux Texas, we are proud to have dedicated professionals like Taylor advancing research, sharing knowledge internationally, and helping improve outcomes for individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.

The 22nd Annual Divots for Devereux Golf Classic was a tremendous success ⛳✨

Held at Bay Oaks Country Club on May 18, this year’s tournament brought together 76 golfers and an incredible community of supporters — all helping raise more than $35,000 for youth in Devereux Texas’ Autism Residential Program.
