Mady day is coming: June 8th

On June 8, 2021, the City of League City officially proclaimed June 8 as Madelynn Bennetsen Day in honor of Mady’s life and to bring awareness to the fight against human trafficking.

As this special day approaches, we invite everyone to join us in honoring Mady’s legacy by wearing purple on June 8.

Purple represents courage, survival, and awareness for those impacted by human trafficking.

If Mady’s story has touched your life, we would love for you to share a photo, memory, or awareness post on your social media. Together, we can continue the mission of educating others, protecting our youth, and giving a voice to those who may not have one.

Mady’s light continues to shine through every conversation, every awareness event, every life impacted, and every person who chooses to stand up and make a difference.

Thank you for helping us keep her memory alive and her mission moving forward.

💜 Wear Purple.

💜 Share Awareness.

💜 Remember Mady.

💜 Be the Voice.

🚨 A former Sweeny fire chief has been indicted on multiple child s*x crime charges.

Records obtained by KPRC2 / Click2Houston show Tim Webb Sr. was arrested and booked into the Brazoria County Jail. He’s facing two counts of aggravated s*xual assault of a child, two counts of s*xual assault of a child, one count of s*xual assault, and one count of prohibited s*xual contact.

Court records show the alleged incidents date back to 2000, 2001, and 2004. Webb Sr. was removed from his role in February, initially described as a leave of absence. At the time, Sweeny’s police chief confirmed there was an active criminal investigation involving him.

His arrest comes amid a wider investigation tied to the Sweeny Fire Department. His son, Timothy Webb Jr., is facing 13 felony charges involving five children in a separate case. Investigators say some allegations include forcing minors into explicit acts on video in exchange for money.

Another former firefighter has also been arrested as part of the investigation. Officials have not confirmed a direct connection between the cases, but say the investigation remains active.

🚨Finally Some Real Justice for a Child Predator!

54-year-old Glenn Sullivan Sr. from Louisiana pleaded guilty to ra**ng a 14-year-old girl multiple times — and getting her pregnant.

As part of the plea deal, this sick monster chose surgical castration — having his testicles physically removed — instead of just chemical castration. The judge made it crystal clear: this pe*****le will never hurt another child again.

He got slammed with 50 years in prison on top of it.

Louisiana is showing the rest of the country how it’s done. No more light sentences and revolving doors for these animals who destroy innocent kids.

This is the kind of accountability we need nationwide. Protect the children — punish the predators severely.

🚨 A Houston Police Department lieutenant is accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old girl for s*x, but investigators say the teen was actually an undercover detective.

Lt. Quoc Viet Ngo, 50, was arrested Friday after investigators say he drove to a home expecting to meet the child after allegedly sending s*xually explicit images online.

He is charged with online solicitation of a minor, a second degree felony punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison.

The arrest came through a joint investigation involving Houston Police and the Harris County Precinct One Constable’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

Update from Mady’s Movement

For the past five years, we have poured our hearts into bringing this community together—raising awareness, educating others, and honoring Mady’s story. I truly believe we have made a meaningful impact together, and I am so grateful for every person who has stood beside us in this mission.

Due to current events, my family has made the decision to take a step back from hosting events for the remainder of this year. This has not been an easy decision, but it is one that feels necessary right now. For a long time, I turned my pain into purpose and kept moving forward without really taking the time to heal. Right now, my family needs that space.

We will still continue to share, post, and support this cause. We will also still present and speak when invited, including upcoming opportunities at Houston Christian University and with Houston Methodist Forensic Nursing Program.

This mission will always be part of our hearts and our lives.

We are not going away—we are simply taking time to focus on healing and caring for our family.

Thank you to everyone for understanding, and thank you for continuing to stand with us.
