Hey MAEVEns, ready to create some red, white, and blue-tiful cookies? (Get it? Get it?? Like, beautiful? Ah, c'mon, you know what I'm talking about!)

Join our host, Karyn, of Sugared South Shore fame, where you'll learn the basics of decorating sugar cookies and pick up a few fun techniques along the way; no experience necessary!

Cost: $10 per person.
To reserve your spot, shoot us a message on FB or IG by July 17 so our host has time to bake and order supplies. Space is limited so be sure to claim your spot early!

Cooking Club is back, baby!

Dust off those aprons and get ready for a fun night of cooking with chums. We'll meet at Christine's at 7:30 this Friday, the 26th, where Rachel will be our wonderful host. This month's menu is a mystery, which just adds a little extra excitement to the night ;)

Our host will calculate the per-person cost after shopping for the ingredients, so please plan to bring cash or be ready to Venmo your share.

Happy Juneteenth! If you've ever wondered, Juneteenth is a portmanteau of "June" and "nineteenth", and commemorates June 19th, 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston finally learned they were free (more than TWO YEARS after slavery had been abolished!)

With Galveston right down the road from us, this essentially happened in our own backyard, which makes it especially meaningful for us to remember and honor this date.

If you're new(ish) to the group and haven't filled out a New Member Bio yet, we'd love to feature you in an upcoming newsletter.
