sponsored the opening of a food pantry on February 7, 2015 at 406 Main St. The next project we are working on is an after school program with a hot meal and a quiet place to do home work and tutoring when needed.Our future projects will be to build a combination disaster shelter/community center, with activities and exercises programs for citizens of all ages. We plan to have concerts and plays

by local talent, also help with utility bills and improve homes for people who are not able to make the much needed repairs, and to erect a museum.

On Saturday November the 8th at Wanted, We will be hosting a food drive in order to help out the food pantry of Leachville. If you are able, please bring a few non perishable food items so we can stock the pantry. The Leachville Foundation, Inc.

On that night as well, we will also be conducting a toy drive, so if you are able to bring in a toy for a child, you may be able to make their holiday season.

With the SNAP food stamps program set to lapse next week because of the government shutdown, many local families will be struggling to put food on the table. This is one of the most critical times we’ve faced.

****The theater will be taking Food Pantry donations until this event. You can bring any non-perishable items to the theater on the weekends during movies and we will get them to the Food pantry.

If you have never seen the Grand Canyon (or even if you have), you will want to see this new movie coming to The Melody. It is the first feature film to be shot completely in the Grand Canyon. What an awesome way to see the beauty of the Grand Canyon on the big silver screen.

And what makes this even better is the producer is giving a percentage of the box office revenue to the Leachville Food Pantry. The more people attend -- the greater the percentage given to the Food Pantry.
