🏆State Convention Reflections and Results🏆

We had an amazing experience at the Minnesota FFA State Convention in April! Our Le Sueur Henderson FFA members had an great time and it was such a valuable experience for everyone. Absolutely none of this would have been possible without the generous support of our amazing sponsors.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

We’ve had a great start to the year with activities and events planned and executed by our officer team.

- Our first chapter meeting of the year, where we learned how to get involved in FFA and explored which contests we’re interested in. Over 40 members were in attendance! 🥳

- The FFA float in the Homecoming Parade last Friday, where members decorated and rode on the float, showcasing our presence in the community. A big thank you to Alen Berger for providing the tractor and trailer and for driving us! 🚜

- Soils and Dairy workshops at Sibley East High School with the Maple River and Sibley East FFA programs! Huge thanks to Mike Sheely and Stephanie Brandt for hosting and facilitating! 😊

🏆Our very first state qualifying team!🏆

Today we had teams competing in the Farm Business Management CDE and in the Wildlife and Fisheries CDE.

Our Farm Business Management Team placed 2nd overall, qualifying for state! Congratulations to this amazing group of students. Also, congratulations to Hattie T. for placing 3rd overall individual and to W***y S. for placing 7th overall individual!

Our Wildlife team placed 12th overall and our JV Wildlife team placed 2nd.

Another contest in the books!

Today, we brought three teams to the U of M Invite. We had students competing in Dairy Evaluation, Livestock Evaluation, and Soils. They all did a great job and had fun doing it!

Students spent the days leading up to the contest practicing skills and studying contest materials. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Erik Klehr for taking the time to coach our Dairy Evaluation team!

Welcome to the Le Sueur-Henderson Agriculture Education & FFA page!

My name is Elizabeth Risacher and I am the new Agriculture Instructor/FFA Advisor at LS-H. I am beyond excited to restart the Agriculture Education Program and FFA Chapter in this strong agricultural community!

This page will highlight classroom activities, FFA competition results, fundraising, chapter and community events, and so much more! We want to keep our supporters up to date while displaying student successes within the program.
