Le Roy ILLINOIS Community Food Pantry is providing items for you to make a Thanksgiving meal.

YOU MUST BE A RESIDENT OF LE ROY ILLINOIS to participate. You must be able to provide proof of residency and exhibit need.

YOU MUST SIGN UP BY NOVEMBER 19TH AT 2PM. No additional requests will be taken after this date and time. We need time and volunteer manpower to get this distribution ready.

DISTRIBUTION is on MONDAY NOVEMBER 24TH FROM 5PM TO 6PM at the LeRoy Christian Church. Follow clearly marked signs and instructions from the people volunteering their time to make this happen. Expect to wait to receive your items as we get everyone checked off and through the process.

If you cannot make the above time to pick up the items you have signed up for, please arrange to have someone pick them up on your behalf. The food pantry is run purely on volunteers and only available at the times specified above. With it being a holiday week, church office hours are also reduced.

We hope this will help alleviate strain and worry for our families in need this year.

First food pantry of 2025 starts tonight from 5pm-6pm. Please stay in your cars to stay warm until we open. It's a super cold windy day out here!!

Final food pantry for the year is Mon Dec 9th from 5p-6p.
It has been a blessing for us to serve those in need this year. We will see everyone again on Jan 13th, same time & place

Annual Thanksgiving meal distribution is in 2 weeks. You must call the Le Roy Christian Church office 962-6491 to sign up by Thursday November 21st. Office closes at 2 pm.

You must be a resident of Le Roy or have a student in Le Roy School District.

A HUGE thank you to Chad Flegel and Flegel Farms for donating these delicious watermelons to the food pantry. Our town is so incredible in supporting everyone in our community!!

Just a few reminders about our food pantry.

1. You MUST be a Le Roy, IL resident and/or have a child in Le Roy Schools to be a patron of the food pantry. Proof of residency will be required for all new patrons. Bring a bill that is within the last month as proof of residency.

2. We are open on the 2nd and 4th Monday's of each month from 5pm-6pm ONLY. There are not any other hours available. The food pantry is run by a volunteer.

3. If you abuse this ministry's contributions or misrepresent your place of residency, you will not be allowed back.

4. We are located inside Le Roy Christian Church. Pull around the back of the building using the north entrance only. Form a single car line. There is a bench outside our door that you may wait in the order you arrived. There will be no cutting in front of others.

5. You MUST bring bags/boxes/baskets to put all of your items in. We DO NOT provide bags.

6. Yes, there are limits on what you are allowed to take. We have limits imposed on us from where we source our items. We pick enough so that everyone who comes has an opportunity to get each item on the tables. The only exception to this is our random section where there are random donated items to choose from. This section is not always available.

7. Be mindful of what you will use and of those also needing food support. Food insecurity is a real problem in today's society. We are here to help those that are food insecure.

Due to the inclement weather and ice/sleet/freezing rain to occur all day long, the Le Roy Community Food Pantry will
NOT BE OPEN TONIGHT
as scheduled. We do not want to put any of our patrons at risk. See you on Feb 12th.
