Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us".

2 Corinthians 5:17, "17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

Over 2000 years ago Jesus Christ died the death we deserved willingly. He saw all of our desperate need for salvation. You see, back then people's sins were atoned for through a sacrifice of an animal. The book of Romans shares that the wages of sin is death. This means that the way for my sins to be vanquished is through death. The death of those animals took our place. That was the old system but there is a new system which vanquishes the old system. Jesus Christ is referred to as the spotless lamb. Without blemish. Jesus was without blemish in a sinlessness sense. He never sinned which is the reason He is and was the perfect atonement for our sins as man.

When you are made new in Christ and or when you fully surrender to God's will in your life you are forgiven of all of your sins! God remembers your sins no more and He sees His Son Jesus in your place. The animals used to stand in your place and now the one and only Son stands in our place. You are made new. You are redeemed. You are forgiven.

If you are feeling tired by the weight of your sin remember that He is faithful and just to forgive you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Come to Him. He sees you, He loves you, and He wants you. More than you know or can imagine.
