Recently several members of the LeMars Knights of Columbus Council were proud to give back to the community by volunteering at a backpack-packing event for the Le Mars Backpack Program 🎒. This program helps provide kids with essential items while they’re away from school.

In addition to volunteering, our council also contributed $2,500 💵 to support the program’s continued impact.

Knights of Columbus Front Entrance Remodel

Our front entrance has proudly welcomed members, families, and guests for many years — but time and weather have taken their toll. The deterioration is no longer just cosmetic. There are structural concerns that we need to address to ensure the safety, appearance, and longevity of our building.

We are working to raise $40,000 to complete a front entrance remodel, including new doors and a whole new stucco entrance.

The good news? Thanks to incredible community support, we’re already making progress.
✔️ We received fantastic assistance through the Le Mars façade grant.
✔️ Our Annual Stag event raised an additional $11,700 from many generous donors in attendance

Now we need to keep the momentum going.

While we have many long-term goals for improving our building and would love to do so much more, we’re focusing first on the most urgent needs.

Le Mars Knights of Columbus Council #1466 was proud to present a check to Life Skills Training Center following our annual KC Phone-a-thon
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Le Mars community, Le Mars Knights of Columbus Council #1466 alone raised a record-breaking $62,100 during this year’s drive. Of that total, 10% was donated to the Iowa Special Olympics, and a check for $55,890 was proudly presented to Life Skills—with these funds remaining local to support individuals and families right here in Le Mars.
We are grateful for the continued support and dedication that make this impact possible. We also look forward to next year, as Le Mars Council #1466 approaches an incredible milestone—surpassing $2 million raised over the many years in support of this great cause.
Together, we continue to make a lasting difference in our community.
