Today we honor and mourn the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces to protect us. Many Le Mars Community School alumni have served our country over the decades and given their lives to protect us. We thank all for their service. Dr. Dan Bowers, 2026 Distinguished Alumni

Dr. Dan Bowers was one of the honorees at the annual LCSD Foundation banquet in April. He was nominated by Dr. Steve Collins and Mark Truesdell, fellow 1969 classmates for his dedicated work with HIV/AIDS patients throughout his medical career. Dan Bowers, holding Beans Bulldog, presented by Julie Beitelspacher and Zach Lancaster. Dan's family ties to Le Mars date back to the late 1800s....

“The Halls are Alive”

Oh, I mean, "The Hills are Alive" as the musical The Sound of Music comes to the middle school auditorium for three performances in May. The curtain rises at 7 p.m. on Friday evening, May 1, in the middle school auditorium for the first performance. The second and third performances are on Saturday, May 2. The matinee begins at 2 p.m....

Junior-Senior Prom, Under the Stars

This year's Junior Senior Prom, Under the Stars, is set for Saturday, April 18. Promenade begins at 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the competition gym. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Cost is $5.00. The after-prom committee is charging admission to help with funds to support the after prom. Following at 8:45 p.m. and until 11 p.m. is the Dance, also in the competition gym....
