Another busy fall week at HIS Haven Ranch 🐴

The propane tank was hooked up for the in-floor radiant heat in the prayer chapel, bathroom, kitchenette and utility room.

Last of the hay baled to keep the herd fed for the year 🌞

The barn team cared for HIS herd day after day 🐎

Grateful for God's provisions over it all 🙌

Did you know that horses have hypsodont teeth that continually erupt from the jaw throughout their lives? That's why we need to have their teeth checked annually and oftentimes need to "float" their teeth.

Teeth floating is a routine equine dental procedure where a veterinarian or equine dentist files down a horse's sharp enamel points, hooks, and ridges using specialized hand rasps or motorized power floats. The horse is mildly sedated but still awake for this procedure.

This procedure ensures a healthy mouth and the ability to eat hay and stay healthy everywhere else 🐴

Our annual dental work is approximately $200 - $250 per horse. If you would like to sponsor a member of the herd, drop us a private message 🤠

His Haven Ranch is seeking a dependable, experienced barn team member to oversee daily horse care and help keep our barn clean, safe, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
• Feed horses hay, grain, supplements, and medications on schedule.
• Safely handle turn-outs, turn-ins, stall cleaning, water buckets, hay bags, manure removal, and aisle sweeping.
• Monitor horses daily for illness or injury and provide basic veterinary care as directed.
• Maintain clean dry lots, Ritchie waterers, and order barn supplies, including feed, hay, supplements, and bedding.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Proven horse-handling and barn chore experience.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and residence within 30 miles of the ranch.
• Two recent non-relative work references required.

This is a part-time position of approximately 10 - 20 hours per week. Pay will be determined based on experience.

The guys have been working hard getting the west end of the indoor riding arena enclosed.

This area will house our prayer chapel, bathroom, and utility room. The best part ~it will have a heated bathroom 🚽🎉

Another busy week at HIS Haven Ranch 🐎

✅️240 bales of hay baled

✅️130 bags of shavings loaded and unloaded into the Fred Shed

All of this in addition to the day to day activities of caring for the herd, mowing and piling manure🐴
