This is a friendly notification that the digital version of the 2027 Podium Edition (Congressional Charter, Bylaws, Manual of Procedure, and Ritual) has now been approved and uploaded on the VFW website. Additionally, we have uploaded the updated versions of the 2026-27 Commander, Quartermaster and Trustee guides which can also be found on the website.



To access this information login to the VFW website which will redirect you to the “My VFW” page. From there you can click on the link labeled “Bylaws: Training, Forms & Templates” under the Member/Post Resources section.



You will find the 2027 Podium under the first dropdown option which can be downloaded by clicking on the blue hyperlink at the bottom of that section. The 2026-27 Commander, Quartermaster and Trustee guides will be located under the Training dropdown toward the bottom.

Good afternoon!

We're thrilled to share with you that the Comanche County Homeless Veterans Stand Down will take place on Friday, September 11th, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Centenary United Methodist Church.

A Stand Down is a one-day community outreach event designed to bring together community resources, services, and support for veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability. It provides an opportunity for veterans to connect with service providers, benefits assistance, employment resources, housing support, and other community services in one central location.

We are sharing the attached flyer and would greatly appreciate your help spreading the word and connecting veterans to this event.

Please note: Due to funding source requirements, this event is specifically for veterans.

A few ways you can help:

Share the flyer through your organization’s social media, newsletters, email lists, and community networks.
Post the flyer on business bulletin boards, community centers, libraries, churches, shelters, sober living facilities, food pantries, VA facilities, and other locations veterans may visit.
If permitted, post flyers at bus stops, laundromats, restaurants, coffee shops, and other highly visible locations frequented by those experiencing homelessness.
Share the information directly with veterans you know who may be experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
Encourage other organizations, businesses, and community partners to share the event and get involved.
Every share, conversation, and connection can help us reach a veteran who may not otherwise know this opportunity is available.
