A message from Mike, David's tour manager:
"This month marks 8 years that I've spent with David and the band. During that time, we've shared well over 600 shows together. They've taken us across the country, across the world, and over interstate 95 more times than you can imagine (or, want to imagine).
"I've spent my entire professional life producing and playing music. I've seen every type of live event possible. And I can honestly say that there is nothing like what this man (and this band) can do. Whether it's in front of 50 people, or 10,000, every single performance brings something new. They treat each exactly the same, and it has NEVER been the same show twice.
"Their spirits of adventure and improvisation are matched by a deep sensitivity to what everyone is doing on stage. Every show has an arc to it, and if you take the ride with them you'll get a snapshot of just about everything American music has to offer over the course of an evening.
"We have a new year ahead of us, a new album coming soon (we swear), and new songs, collaborations, and who-knows-what-else ahead.
"You never know how long the ride will last. And we try to make each opportunity as special as we can.
"Thank you for taking this journey with us. Happy New Year, and we'll see you on the road."
