Residential Housing Staff
Lawton Housing Authority is accepting applications for two full-time Residential Housing Staff positions for its Veterans Grant and Per Diem Transitional Living Program.
The position provides on-site supervision and support for Veterans residing in a 10-bed transitional housing facility. Work schedules may include evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Primary responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily residential operations during the assigned shift
Maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment
Monitoring facility access and completing security and shift logs
Assisting Veterans with daily living activities and program expectations
Responding to emergencies and reporting safety concerns
Using appropriate de-escalation and conflict-resolution practices
Completing incident reports, resident accountability records, and shift handoffs
Coordinating with the Program Director, Case Manager, and other program staff
Protecting residents’ privacy and confidential information
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with Veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, residential programs, housing programs, human services, security, or a related field
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergencies
Ability to work assigned evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
Ability to satisfy applicable background and pre-employment requirements
Experience with trauma-informed care, crisis response, de-escalation, first aid, CPR, naloxone response, HMIS, or VA homeless programs is preferred.
