How It Works:

The auction will be hosted on Zeffy Auctions, making it easy to participate from anywhere. A direct link and QR code will be shared before the auction opens.

During the preview period, you can browse the catalog and plan your bidding strategy. Beginning August 15, you'll be able to place bids on your favorite items. The first time you bid, you'll create a Zeffy profile by entering your contact information and payment method. After that, any additional bids will automatically be linked to your profile.

If you're outbid, Zeffy will notify you by email and/or text, giving you the opportunity to jump back in and increase your bid.

When the auction closes, winners will be notified immediately, and Zeffy will securely process payment and send a receipt.

Getting Your Items:

Each auction winner will be contacted after the auction closes to coordinate pickup or delivery of their item(s). Logistics will be handled on a case-by-case basis to determine the best option for both the donor and the winning bidder. If shipping is needed, shipping costs will be provided before the item is sent.

A New Way to Support the Big Hat Club:

This online auction is completely separate from the traditional Big Hat Live Auction and will feature its own exclusive items. It's a new opportunity to raise funds, engage more members, and give those who can't attend the National Conference a chance to participate.

The traditional Big Hat Live Auction will still take place during the Big Hat Luncheon at the National Conference in Myrtle Beach and will remain exclusive to Big Hatters.

On Monday, our club was able to present an AmTryke - TP-3000 Tadpole to Janice Eddy. It has been awhile since we had a presentation during our meeting. The smile on her face is our chapter WHY - Inspiring individuals to conquer challenges related to mobility and independence. Every rider who discovers freedom of movement is life changing. This recipient was special because she is the neighbor of one of our club members, Tonya Upp.

Rusty Whisenhunt, Director of Public Works at the City of Lawton was our Guest Speaker. He is doing great things with the newly unified Public Works Department, which now oversees Engineering, Public Utilities, and Public Works. It was a GREAT day to be a Great Plains AMBUCS member!

Very busy evening for the hottest Tuesday evening this year
V.Prez Taylor started off the evening with the first Planning Meeting of our 2027 Annual Red River Beer Festival fundraiser. A lot of changes and new ideas coming this year.
Then Madame President Tanna hosted our first Ten Question Trivia Social Nite.
Great Food, Great Trivia and building even Greater New Friends.
We even shared 45 Cupcakes with everyone in attendance in honor of our 45th Anniversary.
See you next month at SOB Brewery where we will continue Trivia on 17 August .

Today our President, Tanna Harris presented a $500 check to Alex with the Lawton Food Bank to help them purchase ground beef.

Guest Speaker today was Brenda Spencer, sharing all that’s going on with the Tent City and its latest status.
It’s always a Great Day to be an AMBUC especially for member Fred who won the very large 50/50 pot. After 44 weeks Fred drew the elusive Joker.
