Today was a great meeting. Jason was the Ambuc of the week. Guest speaker was Dr Weaver the LPS Superintendent.
And two of our members have earned their Big Hats so they were presented a temporary hat until the Stetson arrives

Huge Thank you to those folks that went the extra mile to help support Gordon’s year as President and make this the best conference.
And the Lawton Constitution for sharing this news.

I do not ask for help too often, especially for funds. Was trying to secure the sponsorship for Conference President Dinner but then found many willing to support so we achieved the overall Conference Sponsorship.

District 5-A AMBUCS hosted the Annual Linda Louuu Big Hat breakfast today. Many members attended and really enjoyed themselves laughing sharing stories .
We also had some special guests with all the National and Regional Big Hat Officers, and 5 Black Hats in attendance.
Great Job organizing this FUN event and beautiful decorations .

Chapter meeting held this week was very special. the 2026 National Conference held at Myrtle Beach was the subject of the meeting. Last Years President Monte Brown put together a very nice slide show highlighting all the awards and accolades we accomplished under his year of Leadership. President Tanna Harris stepped in assisted with collecting all the fines from the slide show. Together they had every one leaning forward, a few tears shed and a lot of snorts from laughing.
Gordon then presented the chapter with his President Patch.
To close out the lunch we presented an Amtryke to 3yr old Kaiden, who so patiently waited for us to come home so he could receive his new Amtryke.
Yeah. It was a Great Day to be an AMBUC.

And this sweet story is the WHY we do what we do.
One beautiful smile from a child says it all.

❤️ **TODAY WAS ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN A TRIKE.** ❤️

Today we had the absolute honor of being guests at a meeting with ** Great Plains Ambucs in Lawton**, and our sweet Kaiden was presented with his **VERY OWN RED TRIKE!** 🚲❤️

And I wish I could truly put into words what this moment meant to us.

Because if you look at that red trike, you might just see an adaptive bike.

**I see a piece of childhood being given back to my little boy.**

Kaiden has had so much taken from him.

At only 3 months old, his life was forever changed by horrific abuse. His tiny body endured injuries no baby should ever experience. We were told we might only have **48 hours** with him.

But Kaiden had other plans.

He fought.

He survived.

And he continues to fight every single day.

Today, he was surrounded by people who looked at this little boy — not just at his disabilities or the things he cannot do — but at **what he deserves to experience.**

He deserves to play.

He deserves to explore.

He deserves to move.

He deserves to laugh.

He deserves to feel freedom.

**He deserves to be a little boy.** ❤️

And Great Plains AMBUCS is helping make that possible.

Now, in true Kaiden fashion… 😂 our growing boy needs the **larger size**, so his beautiful red trike didn't actually come home with us today!

**WHO'S SURPRISED?!** 😂❤️

In the coming days, we'll meet with this amazing group again and get Kaiden a trike that fits him just right.

But honestly, leaving without the trike today didn't take away from the significance of this moment.

Because today wasn't really about a bike.

**It was about someone believing that Kaiden deserves opportunities.**

It was about someone saying, *“His disabilities don't mean he shouldn't get to experience childhood.”*

And that means more to this mama than I could ever explain.

Then, as if today couldn't get any more special, we were **approached by a news reporter from KSWO7News ** who wants to sit down with us and talk about Kaiden, his story, and his journey. 🥹❤️

That opportunity means SO much to us because Kaiden's story has never been just about our family.

It's about **awareness.**

It's about what can happen when a baby is shaken, abused, or hurt.

It's about the lifelong consequences that follow.

It's about reminding people that if you're overwhelmed by a crying baby, **put the baby somewhere safe and walk away. Ask for help.**

A few minutes of stepping away can save a life.

And it's about showing the world that even when something horrific changes a child's life forever, **that does not mean their story is over.**

Kaiden's story is still being written.

And we want people to see the joy.

The determination.

The tiny victories.

The hard days.

The progress.

The setbacks.

The laughter.

The LOVE.

Because while someone else took so much from our little boy, there is an entire village determined to help give him as much as we possibly can.

Today, Great Plains AMBUCS became part of that village. ❤️

We cannot thank this incredible group of people enough for what they do for children like Kaiden.

The conference was made special by some of the dynamic speakers. Some came from in house
But some we brought to motivate us and left in absolute awe. They truly captured the essence of our mission for Providing Mobility and Inclusion
