Crime Stoppers of Southwest Oklahoma is saddened by the recent passing of retired Lawton Assistant Police Chief Jack Partin.

Assistant Chief Partin played an instrumental role in bringing the Crime Stoppers program to the Lawton Police Department in 1979, helping establish a partnership between law enforcement and the community that continues to make a difference today.

His leadership, vision, and commitment to public safety helped lay the foundation for what Crime Stoppers of Southwest Oklahoma has become.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Partin family, his friends, and the entire law enforcement community.

Thank you, Assistant Chief Partin, for your service and for helping make Crime Stoppers a lasting part of our community. Your legacy will not be forgotten.

Sometime between July 30, 2026, at approximately 1800 hours and July 31, 2026, at approximately 0530 hours a burglary was committed at Minson’s Veterinary Hospital, located at 1411 W Main. During the burglary, a mini fridge, Several bags of dog food, Leashes,Flea and tick chewables, Heart wormer, Possibly some vaccines, a computer used for animal dental X-rays, and most importantly 3 small dogs and 2 pet cremations.
