Earlier, we highlighted about the reopening of the Native American Galley at the Landmark this Saturday (June 13). Why not take in another event during your visit.

It's time for the monthly firing demo at the Field Artillery Museum. This week the staff will highlight the Revolutionary War muzzleloading cannon, complete with a live fire, and the weapons, uniforms and equipment of the Continental soldier. Come learn how the cannon, the am******on and its implements worked to help gain our freedom.

There will be three hourly demo's beginning at 10:00 AM. Each demo runs for about 15 minutes. Come see the "grasshopper" in action. It gained that nickname because they rountinely hopped when fired.

The reopening will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 1100-1500. If you can't make that, it will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 1000-1600. Start planning for visit now.
