The Lawsonville Ruritan Club would like to extend a sincere Thank you to all those who braved the heat to support the Lawsonville 250 years of Freedom celebration on Friday.
We started by honoring our Veterans-for without them, there would be no celebration. We are eternally grateful.
The children of our Veterans lead The Pledge of Allegiance.
Mr Joyce and Mr Wise provided some history of our Nation, including tidbits from Stokes County, throughout the day.
Boy Scout Troop 400, from Chestnut Grove, retired flags to close the Event.
In between there was cool cars on the hill, Hot Dogs, BBQ, Ice Cream, Kona Ice, Inflatables, Water Slides, local vendors, and great music being played in the background.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate the USA.
Thank you the Lawsonville Fire and Rescue, Stokes County EMS, and Stokes County Health Dept. for your support. The planning committee, who helped get this organized and executed, are proof that a few amazing individuals, united and seeking one goal, can move mountains.
