Happy Juneteenth!

This week at Summer Camp, our campers created projects and learned about freedom, culture, and the significance of Juneteenth.

Today, they shared what they learned with their families during our Juneteenth Celebration! We are so proud of the hard work they put in all week and the confidence they showed while presenting.

Summer Camp is off to an amazing start, and we're excited to be heading into Week 4! Over the past three weeks, our campers have been swimming, playing games, doing hands-on activities, making new friendships, and so many unforgettable memories. Check out this video recap of all the fun we've had so far!

The best part? We still have 6 weeks of summer camp left, and there’s plenty more fun ahead! From exciting weekly themes, to swimming, and making lifelong memories, there's still plenty of summer left to enjoy at the YMCA!

This morning, we celebrated National Doughnut Day during our Pastries with Parents event! Families enjoyed doughnut holes, spent quality time together, and learned about valuable resources available to support their health and well-being.

Our camp counselors are going to spend their time creating memories, leading by example, and making a difference in the lives of so many children this summer! Through every game, activity, and conversation, they will show what youth development is truly about: growing leaders, building confidence, inspiring the next generation, and most importantly, having fun!

As they celebrate this huge milestone, we want our graduates to know how proud we are of the impact they are going to make. The future is so bright for each of you, and we can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

This weekend, our aquatics team came together for our Aquatics All Staff Meeting as we prepare for an amazing summer ahead. This year’s meeting was held in memory of Caden Baeumert, whose very first job was serving as a lifeguard at our YMCA. Caden’s impact, dedication, and spirit will always be a part of our Y family. In honor of him, we named this weekend’s meeting the Caden Baeumert All Aquatic Summer Meeting.
