📣 Guard Your Gates This Season. The Veil Is Lifted.

Before you gather this “holiday” season, ask yourself: Are you honoring truth—or tradition built on lies?

As I’ve deepened my studies in philosophy, etymology, and ancestral wisdom, I’ve come to this truth: Much of what we were taught to celebrate was never built for us.

It was built on us.

Since 1970, Indigenous communities have honored Thanksgiving as a National Day of Mourning—a resistance to the false narrative that erased genocide, land theft, and cultural manipulation.

Meanwhile, descendants like me are waking up from the veil of ignorance passed down since the 1800s.

We are reclaiming what colonizers rebranded, renamed, and resold to us.
We are no longer playing along.

This year?
I’m not just gathering with family.
I’m teaching truth.
I’m restoring legacy.
I’m reviving the ancient ways that connect us to who we’ve always been.

So before you post the plate this year…
Ask yourself:
📌 Who told you what this day means?
📌 What do your ancestors say it meant?
📌 And who are you ready to become now that you know?

It’s the Talk of the Streetz! 🎤✨

We recently caught up with Senator Aaron Rouse — former NFL player, mentor, community builder, and now… candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 2025.

I’m not one to get too involved in politics, but his energy? It spoke volumes. Then he kindly asked me to share his campaign with my supporters — and after our conversation, I did my research... and God confirmed what I already felt in my spirit. 🙌🏾

This brother is the real deal. From growing up in Virginia Beach, to standing tall in the NFL, to now shaping policy in the State Senate — he’s focused on real issues: affordable housing, education, job training, and protecting our right to vote.

Sometimes you meet people who remind you that leadership is about service — not spotlight. And Aaron Rouse is walking that walk.

More than 80 years before the Pilgrims arrived on the Mayflower in 1620, An enslaved African Estevanico, became the first non-indigenous man to explore Mexico, California, New Mexico, Texas and Arizona.
Estevanico as a slave traveled to the New World with a 600-man Spanish expedition sent to explore the shores of the gulf of Mexico. The expedition was shipwrecked off the coast of what became Texas, and within a year Estevanico and three others were the only survivors of the group of eighty castaways enslaved by Indians. The four managed to escape and convinced friendlier Indians they met that they possessed healing powers. He accepted gifts from many tribes as he traveled across Texas and Mexico on foot for eight years and reached the Gulf of California in 1536. The Rode to Eldorado is based on the journey of Estevanico.
