We’ve created a dedicated Severe Weather Updates webpage to be your go-to source as winter weather impacts our area. Lville.City/SevereWeatherUpdates brings together real-time alerts, closures, outages, and helpful weather preparedness tips all in one place.
Street & Sanitation Operations:
During severe weather, crews prioritize main streets, high-traffic roads, major lanes, and hospital routes for ice treatment to support essential travel. Additional streets will be addressed as conditions allow.
Report Power Outages:
Lawrenceville Utilities customers should call 678-407-6675 to report outages.
Not sure which jurisdiction you’re in? Visit Lville.City/MyCityServices.
Utility Safety Reminder:
If severe weather impacts our area, Lawrenceville Utilities will work to restore service as quickly and safely as possible; however, uninterrupted electric service cannot be guaranteed. Customers who rely on electric-powered medical equipment should not depend solely on utility service for life-sustaining needs and are encouraged to have a backup plan in place.
Power Line Safety:
Never touch a downed power line even if it appears inactive or covered in ice. Always assume power lines are live and dangerous.
Natural Gas:
You generally should not turn off your natural gas during a winter storm. Keeping it on helps maintain pressure in your pipes, prevents water from entering lines if flooding occurs, and ensures your heat remains on. Natural gas infrastructure is underground and usually operates safely during severe weather.
Please plan ahead, use caution, and continue to monitor City channels for updates.
